Time

Weather or not you have kids of your own I'm sure you've heard this saying a hundred times..."they grow up so fast". Am I right? Of course I am...people say this all the time! Well guess what? They say it a thousand times more when your pregnant or have a brand new baby and rightfully so. I already miss the days of my pregnancy, they seem to have gone by so fast and when I think back to being in the hospital only 8 short weeks ago, I miss those days as well.

So goes your life, and so goes the song "Your Going To Miss This". No matter where you are in life, your going to one day look back and miss it and want it back. No matter what you do, its unavoidable. So please, sit back right now, look around you and take it all in. Slow down and enjoy this moment....

First sleep in my bed
So why am I writing this? Basically because I have been feeling guilty about not updating my blog enough and not emailing people back in my usual timely fashion...and sucking at texting and well  being a good friend in general. The thing is, right now I am 100% focused on my little man and watching his every move, holding him tightly day and night!

I love waking up to his coos each morning, leaning over and seeing a huge smile come across his face when he sees me. I love pulling him into bed with me to cuddle and not caring if we miss our workout because we've drifted back to sleep together. I love the days when we just lay around the house in our pj's, enjoying nothing but each other. I love going for walks after supper, and bath time and rocking him while I sing or simply holding him closely in silence until he drifts off to sleep and leaving him there just a little bit longer because I hate so much to have to put him down. I love everything about that boy, head to toe, inside and out and I will not give up these moments for anything, anyone. Right now, my world is all his and I wouldn't have it any other way. So if you follow along, hang in there...I promise to pick up pace one day. Until then I'm busy, busy enjoying my little boy!

Our little toad!

When Brylen was 6 days old, my dear cousins came to town to take photos of my "newborn". Unfortunately, my little boy somewhat skipped the newborn phase, so the entire shoot was a lot harder with a baby that would not sleep, let alone pose.

Thankfully my cousin is amazing and she managed to get some pretty cute shots of my "little toad" as we call him! She also took a super cool one of me, which I love! If you have time, take a look at her work, she is out of Regina and super resonable! http://bjs-photos.blogspot.ca/

Mommy & Bry, before & after!

A cousin is born

On Thursday May 17, 2012 we welcomed Mr. Beckam Lee into the family. Exactly 26 days apart, Beckam and Brylen are not only cousins but best friends.

Kailey and I spent hours over the past months talking about what we thought the boys would look like, act like and just be like in general. It was so much fun to think about and now that they are both finally here, it's even more fun to see them side by side and watch them explore and grow.

Beckam (1 week) & Brylen (1 month)

Its been a mere 3 weeks since Becks was born but he fills so much love in our hearts that it feels like he has been apart of us forever. I look forward to spending the next year watching both boys as they get to know themselves and each other. I'm excited to see the small details of each ones personality emerge and to mark their milestones as the months go by. These boys have become our entire world and I often wonder what we ever did without him.
